Next Of Kin may have been compared to the Bee Gees by the X Factor judges after making it through to the boot camp stage of auditions, but of the early front-runners in the show betting, they look the best to oppose.

In the current X Factor betting, Next Of Kin are the third shortest price of all of the groups at 16/1, but not only is there a week of auditions to come where some new groups may be seen for the first time by the public, then there is boot camp.

The judges have a habit of forming their own groups at boot camp, with previous winners Little Mix and worldwide superstars One Direction being put together in this way.

There is the likelihood that at least one group will be put together by the judges again and that they will secure one of the six spaces at the judges’ house stage. It would be no surprise either if two groups progressed in this manner.

Although not in the class of One Direction, Kingsland (14/1) are another to almost be guaranteed a spot in the last six groups, given that a boy band to appeal to teenage females always reach the live shows.

Rough Copy (25/1) reportedly won a place at the judges’ house stage last year, but problems over the visa of one of the group members meant they had to forfeit their place.

A second chance is by no means assured, but it would be a big surprise based on what has been seen so far if they were not put through.

Brick City (12/1) look the most interesting of the groups as they are a mix of males and females and have an urban edge that makes them a little different.

This would fill five of the six group places and the final spot could go to a currently unseen group, who may have been saved for the final round of auditions to make a late impact.

In most series of the X Factor, a couple of acts that are built up as being strong contenders are eliminated at boot camp and it would be no surprise to see Next Of Kin become one of these acts this time.
