Michaela Coel 5/1 favourite to become the next Doctor Who

After Jodie Whittaker’s shock departure, Michaela Coel is the 5/1 favourite to take over, according to our odds.
Whittaker became the 13th Doctor in 2017, and after three years in the role, she’s moving on from the Tardis.
The I May Destroy You creator and lead actress is favourite to become the 14th Doctor, but she’s closely followed by Richard Ayoade and Kris Marshall, who are 6/1 apiece to step into the hotseat.
Elsewhere, there’s an 8/1 chance that creator, writer and star of Fleabag, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, takes on the lead role.
