Aston Merrygold odds-on for Robin in the Masked Singer

With the latest series of the Masked Singer underway, Aston Merrygold has been revealed as the 4/7 odds-on favourite to be Robin, according to our odds.

Lenny Henry finds himself as the short-priced favourite at 5/6 to be the voice behind the Blob, while popstar Gabrielle is the 5/4 favourite to be behind the Harlequin mask.

Aled Jones is 6/4 to be revealed as the Viking, while former X Factor contestants Will Young and Jahmene Douglas are 3/1 and 4/1 respectively to be behind the Badger.

Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “Aston’s only got one shot to win The Masked Singer, but the odds suggest his recognisable voice and ability to hit the high notes is going to see him unmasked next.”

“The rest of the competition looks fairly wide open, bar the exception of Lenny Henry as the Blob, and punters could be kept guessing for a long time yet over the likes of Swan, Sausage and Grandfather Clock,” added O’Reilly.

After Mel B was revealed as a contestant on this year’s The Masked Singer, there’s just 4/1 on a Spice Girls reunion as early as this year.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes added: “Fans really really want to see the Spice Girls back together and it looks like the girl group could be about to spice up 2021 with a sensational comeback.”
