Alex Scott favourite to replace Sue Barker on A Question of Sport

Alex Scott has emerged as the early favourite to replace Sue Barker on A Question of Sport, according to our traders.

Barker was axed from the long-running quiz show at the weekend after 23 years at the helm, along with team captains Matt Dawson and Phil Tufnell.

The BBC are reportedly looking to freshen up the popular Friday night programme, and it’s Scott who is favourite to take over as the host at odds of just 2/1.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Alex Scott is one of the best pundits in the country right now but the odds suggest she may soon be turning her hand to presenting.”
