Nenad Zimonjic’s proven track record in doubles tennis may prove the difference as Serbia look to take the upper hand in their Davis Cup final clash with France.

Little could separate the two countries after the opening two singles rubbers as Gael Monfils beat Jarko Tipsarevic in the opening game to put France ahead, but Novak Djokovic restored parity win his victory over Gilles Simon.

The doubles will now see Zimonjic pair with Viktor Troicki to take on Arnaud Clement and Michael Llodra and the Serbian duo are 1/1 to secure victory.

Serbia are 4/9 to win the Davis Cup for the first time and these betting odds will surely shorten should they take victory in the doubles, particularly as many will be expecting Dvokovic to beat Simon in the final singles rubber.

Alongside having home advantage, Serbia also have the better doubles team based on how well their two individuals have fared in the last year.

Zimonjic has won seven doubles titles in 2010 including at the recent ATP Tour Finals with Canadian partner Daniel Nestor.

Meanwhile, Troicki showed his doubles talents when taking a title alongside Christopher Kas in Bangkok in September, but he has focused on singles for the large percentage of the campaign.

For France, Clement has won more doubles titles than singles honours during his career and was paired with Llodra when winning the doubles in Marseille this year.

The pair are 8/11 to claim doubles victory.

France will need to win the doubles if they want to put themselves in the driving seat to win the Davis Cup and will be banking on the greater experience of Clement and Llodra as a team, with the Serbian twosome not having played together in a match since March last year.

A £10 bet on France winning the David Cup will lead to a return £16.25, although there are many Davis Cup betting opportunities. New Ladbrokes customers can sign up here for a free £10 bet.
