ICYMI: Motherwell get the job done early to climb into the top six


Motherwell secured just their second win in seven league games on Saturday afternoon with Louis Moult and Scott McDonald doing the damage against Partick Thistle.

The valuable win lifts Well into the Ladbrokes Premiership top-six and it was a victory that never looked in doubt as the hosts surged into a two-goal lead in the first-half.

Moult capitalised on a goalkeeping error to turn in McDonald’s cross on 14 minutes and then returned the favour to set-up the Australian striker for the killer goal seven minutes from half-time.
