Watch: Scottish Football Gold – Latapy stunner hits Hearts for six

As we prepare for another season filled with excitement, heartache and the fiercest of rivalries, we’ve teamed up with the SPFL to take a look back at some of the best goals from Scottish football in recent years.

Our stroll down memory lane begins in the year 2000.

And while U2 were top of the charts with ‘Beautiful Day’ it was exactly that for Hibernian fans as their team ran out eventual 6-2 winners against their local rivals Hearts.

That win put Hibs just five points off Celtic in second place and although they would eventually finish the season third behind the Bhoys and Rangers, it was just one of the highlights of an incredible campaign for the Hibees.

Our pick of the eight goals scored at Easter Road comes from Russell Latapy, whose man of the match performance finished with him scoring the Leith club’s sixth of the game.

Re-live the memorable moment below.
