St Mirren midfielder Lewis Morgan has been named the Ladbrokes Championship Player of the Month for September.
The 21-year-old played a decisive role for the Buddies as they who picked up nine points from a possible 12 during the period.
That run included high-scoring victories over Queen of the South (3-1) and Inverness Caledonian Thistle (4-2), as well as a home win over Brechin City last time out.
Along the way, Morgan bagged a brace against the Doonhamers, as well as grabbing a goal and assist against the Caley Jags. However, his impact goes beyond just those stats, with the youngster impressing throughout the period with his pace, trickery, and distribution.
The Buddies ace’s displays during the period also attracted praise from none other than Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers.
The Hoops boss touted the youngster as one of Scotland’s top talents, stating: “The boy Lewis Morgan at St Mirren: quick, dynamic, can press, can run, can get at people.”
Having now been directly involved in 12 goals during his 13 games this term, the Paisley-born playmaker continues to go from strength to strength.
