It could be the end of the line for Donald Trump as the US President, with the latest odds suggesting he may quit the election campaign ahead of November’s poll.

Our traders go just 11/2 for Trump to abandon his plans for a second term and take his name off the ballot paper as the Republican candidate.

He remains a 13/8 shot to upset the odds and claim an unlikely victory once again, with Democrat nominee Joe Biden now odds-on at 8/13 to become the 46th President of the United States.

Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “Trump’s polling numbers are yet to improve so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see him quit before election day, no doubt blaming others for the early exit.”

She added: “Biden’s all the rage with punters at the moment and time will tell if momentum will swing back towards Trump.”
