Rishi Sunak now 11/4 favourite to be next Tory leader
Rishi Sunak has seen his odds of becoming the next Conservative leader cut again by our traders.
The Chancellor has been a popular bet since delivering his first budget, and it’s now just 11/4 Sunak is named as Boris Johnson’s successor.
Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “Sunak’s all the rage with political punters who have backed him at all prices down into clear favouritism.”
Michael Gove is second in the betting at 12/1, ahead of Dominic Raab, James Cleverly and Sajid Javid, all at 16/1.
