KEIR STARMER is now a staggering 100/1 on to be named as the new leader of the Labour party, according to our latest odds.

As the final three candidates enter the last day of the leadership race, it’s long-term favourite Starmer who is just 1/100 to be given the green light on Saturday.

Rebecca Long-Bailey is chalked up at 25/1, with Lisa Nandy now the rank outsider at 100/1.

And we also make it 1/8 that the finishing order follows that of the betting.

Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “Starmer is home and hosed in the Labour leadership race as far as the odds are concerned.”

It looks like Jeremy Corbyn’s days are numbered, but is Starmer the right man for the job?
