Our traders have cut Donald Trump’s chances of being re-elected in two years following Tuesday’s mid-term elections.
The Republicans may have lost control of the House, but those losses weren’t as bad as some feared. They also gained seats in the Senate to increase their majority.
We now go 11/8 that Trump wins the Presidential Election in 2020. His closest challenger is currently United States Senator Kamala Harris, who is back at 8/1.
It’s also looking increasingly likely that Trump will see out his entire first term. The odds of him being removed from office have eased out to 9/4 (was 2/1).
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Much to the relief of bookies, the Democrats won back the House, but the threatened “blue wave” failed to materialise, and we think the Democrats failure in places like Florida augur well for Trump’s chances in 2020.”
