The odds of the UK ditching Brexit and rejoining the European Union in the next few years have been drastically cut by our traders.
Following recent support from punters, we now make it a 16/1 shot (from 33s) that the UK Re-EU-nites with our neighbours on the continent by the end of 2025.
British and EU negotiators are currently locked in talks over a prospective trade deal, with some pundits labelling it as a ‘final throw of a dice’ between the two sides.
It’s now been over four years since the Brexit vote took place on Thursday 23rd June 2016, which means if the UK were to rejoin the EU by the end of 2025, the UK could have ended up spending more time negotiating an exit from the bloc than it spends outside the EU 27 itself.
