Boris Gone Soon? Prime Minister backed for 2021 exit

Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson’s odds of being replaced as Prime Minister next year have been cut by our traders.

Following a run of bets, it’s now just a 3/1 shot (from 4/1) that the PM leaves his role during 2021, while there’s a 10/1 chance that Bojo exits Downing Street as early as this year.

Chancellor Rishi Sunak is rated as the 5/2 favourite to succeed Johnson as the next Conservative Party leader, with 6/1 on offer about the MP for Richmond (Yorks) becoming Prime Minister before the next general election.

Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “Money talks, and punters seemingly think Boris could be on course for a 2021 exit.”
