A flurry in Surrey sees Tom Hardy’s James Bond odds slashed

Tom Hardy is the new favourite to become the next actor to play James Bond following another intriguing twist in this rapidly changing betting heat.

A hectic weekend in the Next James Bond market has seen the Legend star’s odds slashed from 12/1 to just 2s, making him the clear favourite ahead of the likes of Aidan Turner (5/2), James Norton and Jack Huston (3/1).

And according to fresh information from the bookies it’s punters in the Surrey region who’ve played a large part in Hardy’s odds taking such a drastic tumble over the last three days.

Do they know something we don’t?

Whether the latest wagers will prove to be prophetic is open to debate but one thing is for sure, there are sure to be plenty more twists and turns.

Only last week we reported on Tom Hiddleston’s fading chances of becoming the next Bond as a result of his on-off relationship with Taylor Swift. Meanwhile, back in July it was Damian Lewis who came to the fore.

And this recent gamble has only served to further heighten the intrigue around the potential successor to Daniel Craig.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Money talks, and Hardy’s being backed like he’s going out of fashion to become the next 007.”
