Our traders have picked out a few jockeys and trainers to look out for ahead of the ten-race card from Will Rogers Downs in Oklahoma on Monday.
Here are some key tips, odds and the jockeys to watch out for with action getting underway at 19:15…
Will Rogers Downs is now two weeks into it’s Spring Meeting and Monday evening will be the sixth in that period.
So far, Leandro Goncalves has ridden five winners and one second from just eight mounts. Three of those winners came for trainer Kari Craddock and on Monday he partners both Rock Pache (12/1) and Far Out Kailee (7/2) for her.
Leandro Goncalves booked mounts: Recorder (20:45), Rock Pache (21:45), Knox Court (22:45), Fall Out Kailee (23:45)
Scott Young was the leading trainer at Will Rogers Downs in 2019 with 17 winners at a 21.5% strike rate and he tops the trainers’ table so far in 2020 with 10 winners from just 25 runners.
Young knows how to get horses ready for their debuts with his last two runners who were making their first career start both winning, so his unraced Tiger Treats (22:15) will be one to keep an eye on in the market for the maiden claimer at 5/1.
Scott Young declared runners: Jimmy Winne (20:15), Hot Fudge Louie (20:45), Tiger Treats (22:15), Handsome Traveler & Inclusively (22:45), Sheza Hot Flash (23:15)
While Goncalves is leading the way among the jockeys in terms of win percentage at this meeting, it is Ty Kennedy who has ridden the most winners so far with nine from just 24 mounts.
Kennedy rode a winner for Scott Young on each of the two most recent Will Rogers Downs cards and the pair combine with unbeaten three-year-old filly Sheza Hot Flash (12/1) in the most valuable race of the day on Monday.
Ty Kennedy booked mounts: Seahawk Wave (19:45), Jazz Music (20:45), Champagne’s On Ice (22:15), Corrana En Limen (22:45), Sheza Hot Flash (23:15)
