Russian Emperor and Lord North odds slashed after Royal Ascot success

Following victories at Royal Ascot on Wednesday, Russian Emperor and Lord North have both had their odds cut for the Derby and Coral-Eclipse respectively.
Russian Emperor has dropped into 9/1 from 20/1 for the Derby after landing the Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot, fighting off competition from First Receiver and Berlin Tango.
The other big mover of the day was Lord North, who has been cut to 9/2 from 10/1 for the Coral-Eclipse after winning the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes ahead of Addeybb.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Lord North’s performance in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes was seriously impressive. The Coral-Eclipse is really shaping up to be a mouth-watering clash with Enable and Ghaiyyath also in the mix.”
