So You Think is dominating headlines all over the world ahead of his run in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes today and the hype will be justified come 3.50pm.
While Frankel dominated day one of the Royal Ascot meeting, there are many people inside the racing industry that cannot wait to see So You Think in action as he looks to justify his tag as best in the world.
Many racing fans were left disappointed yesterday after Frankel failed to dominate the St James’s Palace Stakes, but we were delighted to see the three-year-old land out Safety Net bet and, having watched the race back, maybe too much is being made of Frankel’s performance.
Either way, the Safety Net bank now stands at £160.50 thanks to Frankel and to make our £20 target today, we’re betting £45 on So You Think winning the 15:45 at Ascot.
Bred in New Zealand, there are a lot of people that won’t know too much about So You Think so here’s a little bit of background.
Born in November 2006, So You Think made his first career start at Rosehill Racecourse in Sydney and subsequently became the Australian favourite thanks to five Group One wins including the Tatts Cox Plate twice.
His performances in the southern hemisphere led to Irish breeders Coolmore Stud paying around Aus$40m for a share in So You Think in November last year.
So You Think has made just two European starts this season, winning the Group Three Mooresbridge Stakes and the Group One Tatterstalls Gold Cup, justifying very short favouritism on both occassions.
This run in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes today will catapult So You Think into the hearts and minds of racing folk the world over should he win, and we firmly believe he will do so.
