I am not riding on Saturday but I am back at Limerick for three rides on Sunday.

We start with Fast Buck (1.45) who was very good at Galway. His form is good. He was beaten by Fakir D’oudaries in a maiden at Cork on slow ground. Hopefully the ground here won’t be a worry.

I think Gavin Cromwell’s horse Darver Star is improving at a massive rate of knots and probably will be hard to beat again over this trip.

We also have to give a lot of weight to our mare Blazing Emily. Her form isn’t bad either and she can only improve from her first run over hurdles. She’s certainly not out of the reckoning.

But we like Fast Buck. Hopefully he can put up a good show but I would be worried about Darver Star.

The last couple of runs from Listen Dear (2.50) haven’t been inspiring. She seems to have lost her way. The step up to two miles six here might help her.

Western Victory is the one we all have to beat again. She was very impressive in Gowran last week in the same race Listen Dear ran in. She’s tough and she doesn’t know when to stop galloping.

If Listen Dear came back to her best then getting 7lb off Western Victory would give her a chance, but she hasn’t seemed to have run anywhere near her best in her last two or three runs.

Eclat Des Mottes (5.10) faces a small field but it’s a good beginners’ chase with Champagne Classic and Cracking Smart setting a high standard.

He put up an improved effort in Listowel. In saying that he didn’t take on anything of the class of the Gigginstown horses.

Minella Fair runs here as well for good measure so it will take a career best from Eclat Des Mottes to win. He will gain more experience and he is fit from his couple of runs already.

Paul.
