ITV Racing Tips: Ex-Royal runner Natural History out to deliver Imperial Cup cheer

| 12.03.2021

There could be some Cheltenham Festival betting money to be won this weekend when the Imperial Cup at Sandown takes centre. While keeping one eye on what’s coming next week, there is a warm-up programme on ITV which is showing four jumps races from Sandown, plus three all-weather contests from Wolverhampton. There are no big names running but it will be a chance to see who’s hot, and who’s not, ah... more...

Paul Townend previews his weekend rides at Navan and Leopardstown

| 05.03.2021

I only have the one tomorrow at Navan and it will be on Manitopark Aa (14.13) who seems to be improving with every run. The mare that beat her in Fairyhouse went on and won again so hopefully this will be the day. I don’t think she needs to show an awful lot of improvement to be there or thereabouts. Sunday I have four rides at Leopardstown where the first is Fly Smart (14.10). He hasn’t been seen... more...

Dan Skelton previews his weekend runners at Kelso, Newbury and Huntingdon

| 05.03.2021

It’s a busy weekend for us when we will have runners at three meetings. Harry is going to Kelso where My Drogo (13.30) is favourite for a good novice hurdle up there. It’s a race we’ve had in mind for a good while and there are no excuses going into it. I’ve been very happy with the way he has worked and jumped at home. He has to carry a graded penalty but I think he will go well. Sail... View Art... more...

ITV Racing Tips: Nicholls has Grand plan to bring up ten wins in the Greatwood

| 05.03.2021

We are ten sleeps away from the Cheltenham Festival and the countdown continues with a packed schedule of jumping action on ITV on Saturday. There are nine races to watch from Newbury, Kelso and Doncaster and though Cheltenham is on the horizon, it is towards the Grand National in April that some of these participants will be looking. Grand National entrants will be running in the Greatwood Gold C... more...

Dan Skelton previews his Monday runners at Warwick and Lingfield

| 15.02.2021

As a result of the rescheduling of Saturday’s abandoned Warwick meeting we can now look forward to a big day at the track on Monday where Allmankind will run. We start the day with Benny’s Oscar (13.50) in the novice hurdle. He is a nice horse who I think is more of a future chaser but he is a nice, genuine six-year-old who has plenty of experience in points. He runs in a fairly good novice hurdle... more...

Paul Townend previews his weekend rides at Naas and Punchestown

| 12.02.2021

Last weekend’s Dublin Racing Festival was almost the perfect two days. It’s very rare for things to go as well as they did. The majority of the horses that should have won won, like Chacun Pour Soi, Energumene, Appreciate It and Monkfish, so it was a special weekend. As a result of some of the performances we saw, things are very exciting going forward. Even my sister Jody got in on the act, winni... more...
