Punters are piling into Thomas Patrick ahead of the Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury.

Tom Lacey’s runner has seen his odds cut for the feature race at the Ladbrokes Winter Carnival to join Elegant Escape at the top of the market.

Ms Parfois was supported well in midweek, but after Lacey enjoyed a nice success with Kateson in the Novices’ Hurdle on Friday, it appears Thomas Patrick is the one to be with.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Thomas Patrick has emerged as the horse everyone wants to be with. Tom Lacey enjoyed a successful first day at the Ladbrokes Winter Carnival and punters believe he can keep the momentum going.”
