French racing remains the centre of attention this week. Our specialist, Christopher Neale gives us the lowdown for the ten-race card at Lyon Parilly.

Here are some of the rides we can look forward to in France, featuring the Prix Bedel…

Mille Et Mille

A Group One Prix Du Cadran winner in his prime, Mille Et Mille won the Prix Bedel back in 2017 and was runner up in last year’s renewal.

The ten-year-old will need to be on top of his game to maintain his fine record in the 13:58 race this year as he faces stiff competition from some of the younger protagonists.

San Huberto & Skyward

Fabrice Chappet has two runners in the Prix Bedel, San Huberto and Skyward, and will be hopeful he can add to his winners tally with one of them.

San Huberto has won twice at Listed level, one of them over course and distance. However, Chappet’s main chance in the race looks to be the unbeaten Skyward.

A son of Camelot, Skyward has improved with every run and further progression looks guaranteed this season.

Chappet has his stable in warm order since French racing’s return to action this week. He bagged the Group 3 Prix Vanteaux at Longchamp with promising filly Magic Attitude, who upset the two fancied runners Emoji and Flighty Lady with an impressive turn of foot.

Pappalino

Skyward’s main rival at the head of the market looks to be Pappalino for trainer Jerome Reynier.

Having placed in the Group Two Prix Greffulhe last year and the Group Three Prix Exbury in March, he drops back to Listed level with strong form claims.

Monsieur Crocro

Another who should not go without mention is Monsieur Crocro, who also has a Listed win to his name.

He’s twice won on return from a lengthy break and could be the one to take advantage if his rivals need the run.

Elsewhere on the card we have four competitive handicaps to get stuck into.  The action starts at 10:15 and we’ll be offering extra places in the following races:

11.15 Lyon-Parilly 1/5 the odds 1-2-3-4 (enhanced from 1/5 1-2-3). Standard place terms will apply if 10 or fewer horses run.

11.45 Lyon-Parilly 1/5 the odds 1-2-3-4 (enhanced from 1/5 1-2-3). Standard place terms will apply if 10 or fewer horses run.

15.06 Lyon-Parilly 1/5 the odds 1-2-3-4 (enhanced from 1/5 1-2-3). Standard place terms will apply if 10 or fewer horses run.
