Withplans being put in place in Britain for the return of Horse Racing, we canreport news of two significant moves on a pair of the season’s biggest races.

The first has seen Highest Ground cut into 20/1 from 33/1 for the Derby, which is still scheduled to be run at Epsom on Saturday 6th June.

Sir MichaelStoute’s inmate romped home by 2¾l on debut at Leicester in September and hasbeen the subject of sustained support following positive reports from theowners.

He’s now the joint-seventh favourite in the latest betting for the Classic. Pinatubo, who is also favourite for the 2000 Guineas, remains unchanged as the market leader at 6/1.

Elsewhere, Goshen’s odds continue to tumble for the Ebor at York. Gary Moore’s star, who snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham, is now just 8/1 for the 1m 5f contest.

Earlierprices of 14/1 and 10/1 were readily snapped up, which means Goshen is nowclear favourite for the race ahead of Hamish at 14s.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Today we have started to see some ante-post interest in the Derby and the Ebor. Following positive reports from the owners of Highest Ground, we saw some interest and had to cut his price.”

She added, “Goshenthen attracted plenty of support n in the Ebor with both 14/1 and 10/1 beingsnapped up.”
