There will be plenty of celebrations in Scotland tonight as One For Arthur stormed home to claim the 170th Grand National.

Run in glorious sunshine, Derek Fox guided the 16/1 shot to victory at Aintree, to secure only the second win for a horse trained north of the border, following on from Rubstick way back in 1979.

Cause of Causes came home second, ahead of Saint Are, Blaklion and an excellent run for 50/1 shot Gas Line Boy.

Here’s how it all went down on Twitter…

Before events got underway however, UFC star Conor McGregor made quite an entrance…

TV presenter and Horse Racing guru Clare Balding shared her tips…

And our own Nicola McGeady was ready to go too…

But when it all came down to it, One For Arthur was first across the line for trainer Lucinda Russell.

Liam was on…

While Amy went one better…

Nigel had us all trumped, though…

But as always with this great race, many punters will be left rueing their decisions…
