Horse Racing: Ennistymon backed for The Oaks
Our traders have reported a surge of support for Ennistymon in the Oaks on Saturday at Epsom.
The Aidan O’Brien-trained filly has seen her odds slashed to 13/2 from 10/1, while Love remains the one to beat at evens, having won the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket. Frankly Darling is also in the running for the Oaks at 15/8.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “With Peaceful skipping the Oaks for the Prix de Diane, Ennistymon has taken up the position as the Aidan O’Brien second string in the race and each-way punters have started to get behind her today.”
O’Brien has won the Oaks seven times and according to our markets he has a fine chance of more joy this weekend with Love and Ennisymon in the field. Will O’Brien make it an eighth win on Saturday?
