Dan Skelton on his New Year’s Day chances at Musselburgh

With Cheltenham abandoned, Harry will now be heading up to Musselburgh where we have three runners, and I think three chances.

Proschema (13.55) contests the handicap hurdle. I wouldn’t want any rain for him. He is a horse with a lot of speed so I want it to be as good as possible for him. I think he can start to progress as soon as he gets the ground he wants. I’m looking forward to running him,

Romain De Senam (15.05) was unlucky the other day. He got brought down, which wasn’t his fault. He’s in good form at home and looks great. Hopefully he can go and be competitive, which I thought he would be at Cheltenham last time. He just needs a bit of luck.

Midnight Aurora (15.35) perhaps only has a little chance because she hasn’t been running  that well. But she is back on a bit better ground which may help her. She has only ever won in the summer so we thought we would see if she could prove herself over the winter. It’s not happened so far but we will see how she gets on.
