Dan Skelton looks ahead to his Saturday runners at Sandown

It will be a quiet first weekend of the new year for us and after the abandonment of Hereford we will only have a couple of runners at Sandown.
At Sandown we run Robin Gold (12.40), who has been fantastic this year. Bridget gave her a great ride to win at Ascot. This is a Listed race and a step up in grade but I feel she is ready for it. Over 2m4f at Sandown she will need to stay really well, which she does.
Born Survivor (13.50) contests the 2m chase. He’s just not been on his form this year. I think he wants as good ground as you can find. The chase track at Sandown is going to be a lot better than the hurdles track, but he is struggling to find his best form at the moment.
