Dan Skelton discusses his Sunday runners at Uttoxeter

We have three runners at Uttoxeter on Sunday. Aronius (12.18) hasn’t shown a great deal yet.

He was quite a decent horse on the flat but he’s had his little problems. We are just really trying to find some form from him, but that hasn’t happened yet.

Ashtown Lad (2.28) runs in the 3m handicap hurdle. He has won a novice hurdle and I think this is quite a competitive race for this step up in trip. A handicap mark of 123 looks okay for him but we have to see how he fares against older horses.

Riggs (3.38) runs in the last after running quite well in a novices handicap at Ascot.

It was his first run in a handicap the other day. I would expect him to have got a bit sharper because of that. He will make a chaser in time but I do think there are hurdle races to be won with him.
