Dan Skelton rates Nube Negra’s chances in the Champion Chase at Punchestown Festival

We are running Nube Negra (17:25) at Punchestown in the Champion Chase. He travelled over to Ireland on Sunday and has settled in well.

Obviously it is going to be a red-hot race with Chacun Pour Soi and Allaho being in it, but Nube Negra ran super well at Cheltenham.
This is only his third race of the season so that’s a positive. I think the track will suit him, the ground will be nice, so a lot of the things he needs are in place.
This is the top end of competition, you can’t get any higher than this, and it’s going to be difficult.
But we don’t shirk a challenge and the horse is in as good form as I can have him. There is no grumbling on that point.
