With racing going ahead at Cheltenham, we start off with Allmankind (12.40).
He won at Warwick the other day, jumping very well and won very easily. It hasn’t taken much out of him so we will crack on with him and see how we get on in this deeper grade.
Redzor (1.15) jumped very well around Fakenham the other day, winning easily also. Again, this is another big step up in grade but he’s had a bit of experience and he is ready to see what he can do. This will give us an idea as to what level we belong at.
In the Gold Cup (2.25), we have Spiritofthegames and this race has been in mind all season. He goes on soft ground, he has some nice form from last year and he is weighted to turn the form around with Siruh Du Lac.
Slate House is obviously a big problem. He looks very progressive all of a sudden. It’s a competitive race but I am very happy with our horse.
Hear No Evil (3.00) has definitely improved for his first run. This is his first time at three miles. The ground shouldn’t be a problem but I do just want to see how we go at the trip.
I have two runners at Uttoxeter in the 1.55; Alnadam and Sense Of Adventure. Both look like horses who need to be in handicaps to be honest.
On Sunday we have three runners in the Greatwood Hurdle.
Bridget Andrews rides Mohaayed, who will like the ground but actually gets on better at the other track around Cheltenham. I think the ground brings him into play a little bit even though he’s got top weight.
Harry Skelton rides Humble Hero. He has been targeted for this race for a long time. I have absolutely no idea how he will handle this ground but we have been ready for this race.
I put Monsieur D’Arque in last minute at the entry stage because he’s been going really well at home.
He’s had surgery to correct some kissing spines and appears to be improved at home. Again, I haven’t a clue how he will handle the ground. It is quite a difficult race for us to assess.
We have one runner at Fontwell in the 2.40 and that’s Chasma. I think she will handle the ground and she jumps nicely. I think she has a big chance. She was second in the Sedgefield National last time out and these trips suit her.
