Cheltenham Festival: Lostintranslation the new worst result for us
Published:The waiting is almost over ahead of the 2020 Cheltenham Festival with a total of £/€300m expected to be bet across the UK and Ireland during the four-day event.
And while wecan report that we came away relatively unscathed last year, there’s a newhorse putting the frighteners on the trading floor this time around.
Although not initially in our top five worst results, Colin Tizzard’s Gold Cup hope Lostintranslation is the one that we fear most across the week.
He’s the tip of the iceberg in a fearful five that include Envoi Allen in the Ballymore, Samcro in the Marsh, Appreciate It in the Champion Bumper and Goshen in the Triumph Hurdle.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Every year theCheltenham Festival just gets bigger and bigger and this year anotherstaggering amount of money is expected to change hands.”
Sheadded: “We came out of last year’s festival fairly unscathed but as we knowpast performances are no guide to future returns.”
Ladbrokes’worst results:
Lostintranslation – CheltenhamGold Cup
Envoi Allen – Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle
AppreciateIt – Champion Bumper
