How Twitter reacted to a breathtaking US Open final round

Jordan Spieth really is the golfer of 2015. After blowing the field apart to claim his first Major title at the Masters, the 21-year-old produced a gritty display at the US Open, winning by one shot from Dustin Johnson and Louis Oosthuizen.

Sympathy immediately poured in for Johnson, who must wait longer to win his first Major tournament:

However, there was no denying Spieth’s incredible achievement. He is 6/1 to keep his Major streak alive at The Open:

And finally, while it was Spieth who took the honours at Chambers Bay, our man on Twitter got a little ahead of himself. Maybe it was that £50 bet he had on DJ?
