The LPGA and European Tours pair up for the final time this season, with the Evian Championship in France.
With more than half a million pounds going to the winner, it’s the biggest tournament for prize money since the Women’s PGA Championship three months ago.
And ahead of the action at the Evian Resort Golf Club on the shores of Lake Geneva, we’ve taken a look all the key players and their odds…
With three LPGA tour wins this season, including the US Women’s Open in June, Ariya Jutanugarn is the 8/1 favourite for a fourth victory this weekend.
The 22-year-old Thailand star has been in good form of late too. She won the Ladies Scottish Open in July, and followed that up with a T4, T7 and a T16 in her last three events.
Jutanugarn is followed in the betting by Minjee Lee and Sung Hyun Park, each at 12/1.
Australian Lee has proven the more consistent of the two, she’s missed the cut only once this year while winning one tournament apiece on the LPGA and European Tours.
Park blows far more hot and cold. The South Korean has missed the cut six times this year, but when on-song, she’s always in winning contention.
The 24-year-old has claimed three LPGA tour wins this season, including the Women’s PGA Championship. Those victories have also seen her installed as the world number one.
Ones to watch
Reigning champion Anna Nordqvist is a 25/1 shot to defend her title. She hasn’t enjoyed a great year, but with eight wins on the tour, has the kudos to contend.
Also at 25/1 is Britain’s new hero Georgia Hall.
The 22-year-old’s victory in August sparked jubilant scenes at Lytham & St Annes – and an upturn in form.
She now heads to France fresh off an excellent second-place finish at the Cambia Portland Classic.
And further back, Amy Yang could be in the each-way mix at 20/1. The 29-year-old has collected two thirds, a fourth and a fifth in four of her last six events.
