Who will be the most sought-after players in the next transfer window?

Coutinho Barca

No-oneknows when the current Premier League season will end. But when, or indeed if,it does eventually conclude, all eyes will be on the transfer market and who’smoving where when the window reopens.

Whetherthat’s in Summer, Autumn or Winter, we don’t know just yet. What we do know, however, is that plenty of players are already catching the eye of potentialsuitors both at home and abroad.

Here we takeyou through who we think could be five of the most sought-after transfertargets when football gets back to normal.

JadonSancho

There’s nothing like a good old-fashioned transfer saga. From Ivan Perisic being linked to Man United and Virgil van Dijk to Liverpool, we reckon a potential deal involving Sancho could be up among the greats.

A move doesseem likely at least, with the Borussia Dortmund and England star admitting tofeeling ‘humiliated and scapegoated’ by the club’s hierarchy at the back end of2019. The question is, where does the 20-year-old go next?

£120m is thefee being bandied about to acquire his services. And while Man United,Liverpool, Barcelona and PSG are all being heavily linked to the excitingyoungster, we think this one has a long way to run just yet.

PhilippeCoutinho

Could it beone in, one out for Barca? The La Liga giants paid Liverpool a colossal £105mfor Coutinho back in 2018, but things haven’t quite worked out for the27-year-old in his two years at Camp Nou.

TheBrazilian has netted just 13 times for the Catalan club and moved on-loan toBayern Munich at the start of the current season. It’s a switch which hasrevitalised the forward who has scored eight goals in 22 matches this term.

But what’snext for a player who is simply too good to sit in Barca’s reserves? Could apermanent move to Bayern be on the cards, or will he favour a switch back tothe Premier League? Only time will tell.

JackGrealish

There aretwo great bonds in the Midlands; Peaky Blinders and Tommy Shelby and JackGrealish and Aston Villa. Unfortunately for Villa fans, one of those bondslooks as though it may break in the summer.

For largeswathes of the season, Grealish has carried the Villans. Without the industry, creativity and talismanic quality of the 24-year-old, Dean Smith’s men could beeven deeper in the relegation mire.

However, ifthey do eventually drop down to the Championship, then it seems likely theirstar man will finally be off. Spurs and Man United both covet the midfielder, who could command a fee upwards of £60m.

Pierre-EmerickAubameyang

Forwardsdon’t come much more clinical than Aubameyang. The Arsenal striker has scored 186club goals since the start of the 2014-15 season, including 20 so far in thiscampaign. He’ll add to that whenever we resume.

Those goalscome with an added pressure for the Gunners; Champions League football. Andwith the North Londoners unlikely to achieve that aim, it looks as though theirmain man could be heading for the exit doors.

Barcelonahave already registered their interested in the 30-year-old. Liverpool, too, have been linked with the Gabonese goal-getter in recent weeks. Wherever hisfuture lies, it appears unlikely it’ll be at the Emirates.

EmilianoBuendia

Norwich area veritable pick ‘n’ mix of exciting young talent. And while the likes of ToddCantwell, Max Aarons and Ben Godfrey all have their admirers, it’s midfield EmilianoBuendia who could spark the biggest scrap.

TheArgentine ace has lit up the Premier League this season despite not alwaysbeing the first name on manager Daniel Farke’s team-sheet. Indeed, the23-year-old has started 22 out of a possible 29 PL matches.

Delve closerat his stats and they make for impressive reading. The ex-Cultural Leonesa manhas chipped in with seven assists, including against Liverpool, Chelsea,Leicester, Spurs and Man City.

Histechnical ability puts him up there with the very best in the top-flight, andit’d be no surprise to see him earn a move to a bigger club in the summer, evenif Canaries fans might not like to hear it.
