The sporting calendar may have been stripped back by the impact of coronavirus but a select number of events still remain on across the UK and around the world.
Here we take you through what there is to look forward to on Tuesday 17th March.
The Grand National is off on the 4th April and all remaining Horse Racing will cease until the end of April from Wednesday 18th April. But in the meantime there are still four race meetings this afternoon that will take place.
Down Royal go first with a seven-race card from 13:50. They’ll be followed by another seven-race card from Wetherby at 14:00 and the same again over at Wexford from 14:05. Taunton’s six-race card will begin at 14:15.
Who knew we could miss 22 men kicking a ball about so much? It’s not all doom and gloom, though, with action from Argentina, Chile, Bahrain and the Turkish Super Lig taking place this evening.
Goztepe AS v Caykur Rizespor is the highlight. And while you may not be too familiar with the teams, you’ll recognise a certain Cameron Jerome. The ex-Norwich City man is 21/10 to score anytime for Goztepe.
Greyhound Racing so far remains largely unaffected by the coronavirus outbreak. There’s a packed schedule up and down the UK and Ireland today, with no fewer than 11 meetings taking place.
They include Central Park, Crayford, Henlow, Hove, Kinsley, Monmore, Nottingham, Poole, Sheffield, Sunderland and Tralee. That should be enough to whet the appetite this afternoon.
While the NBA may be in hiatus Turkish Basketball does continue. Tonight Bursaspor face a tough ask in the Super League as they travel away to second-place Anadolu Efes, who are 1/25 to win the contest.
In the tier below there are four fixtures taking place, with Fethiye Belediye v Merkezefendi Belediyesi the closest of the match-ups. The former are 13/20 against 11/10 for the latter.
What else is on?
Never watched eSports? Now might be the time. Although some leagues have been hit, a number are still going ahead, including the ESL Pro League, which sees players compete in Counter Strike: Global Offensive.
Elsewhere, you can look forward to Ice Hockey from Russia and Belarus, including Dinamo-Molodechno v Yunost Minsk from 16:30. Plus we have Volleyball from the Russian Vyssaya Liga A and Turkey 1. Lig.
