Scottish League Cup betting tips: Well aim to stay perfect at Airdrieonians
Scottish League Cup betting tips and preview
There are four more Premiership teams involved in Scottish League Cup action on Wednesday night.
Hearts, Dundee United and St Mirren maintained their perfect starts to the group stage on Tuesday evening and we have picked out the games involving Motherwell, Livingston and Dundee for our Scottish League Cup betting tips.
Motherwell are 2/5 favourites to maintain their 100% record by winning at Airdrieonians, so let’s start with the game in North Lanarkshire.
Airdrieonians v Motherwell
Well have the chance to overtake Queen’s Park at the top of Group F with a win at Airdrieonians who drew their opening two games.
Graham Alexander’s side beat Queen’s Park and Queen of the South 1-0 and 3-2 respectively, trailing 2-0 at half-time in the latter before rallying with three second-half goals. They are 13/5 to win by a one-goal margin once more.
Airdrieonians missed out on promotion to the Championship last season when they lost 4-0 to Greenock Morton in the play-off final to ensure a ninth consecutive season in the third tier.
Montrose v Dundee
Dundee are also heavy favourites at 3/10 to beat Montrose after a good start in Group C.
The Dark Blues, promoted to the top flight via the play-offs last season, started their campaign with a 4-0 victory over Brora Rangers and were awarded a 3-0 victory against Ross County who were unable to fulfil the fixture because of a Covid outbreak in their camp.

Dundee are 6/5 to win to nil against the League One side who lost to Morton in the play-off semi-finals last season.
Montrose remain unbeaten in the renamed Premier Sports Cup, beating Brora 3-0 which they followed with a goalless draw against Forfar who were relegated to League Two via the play-offs.
Livingston v Raith
Livi finished in the top half of the Premiership last season but they have made a rocky start in the group stage of the League Cup ahead of their clash with Raith, who have won both of their games.
David Martindale’s men began with a 3-0 win at Brechin but then suffered a shock 2-1 loss at League One side Alloa who scored twice in the final 10 minutes
Raith followed a 1-0 win at Cowdenbeath with a 4-0 victory against Brechin and they are 17/4 to cause an upset and 29/10 to draw at Almondvale.
