Saturday 16th May – What Sport is on?

Kick-off the weekend with the return of Bundesliga football on Saturday. That’s not all, we’ve got Horse Racing, Darts, Esports and more!

Here is what’s happening on Saturday 16th May…

Football

After its enforced break, German football restarts with six matches on Saturday in the Bundesliga, plus games from South Korea and Belarus.

Title chasing Borussia Dortmund are 1/2 favourites to beat Schalke (5/1) in the Revierderby at Signal Iduna Park as they look to keep the pressure on Bayern Munich at the top.

Other Bundesliga games include RB Leipzig v Freiburg and Eintracht Frankfurt v Borussia Monchengladbach, plus a relegation scrap with Fortuna Dusseldorf v Paderborn.

Elsewhere, the K-League provides a hat-trick of games including Busan I Park v Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. The visitors are 2/3 favourites to win. Both teams to score is 4/5.

In Belarus, BATE v Slutsk is the pick of the games from the Vysshaya League. The current league leaders are 2/7 to extend their unbeaten run against Slutsk (8/1).

Horse Racing

There is a huge bill of racing scheduled for Saturday with cards from across Europe, USA, Australia and the rest of the world.

In France, Auteuil begins it’s two-day fixture from 11:05, including the Prix Murat (13:35) in it’s nine-race card with more racing from Caen (13:20) and Strasbourg earlier in the morning. Salon-De-Provence takes us into the evening with eight cards from Vichy on Saturday night.

Stateside, there are jam-packed schedules on Saturday evening from Gulfstream (17:45), Tampa Bay Downs (17:35) and Churchill Downs (18:00). Enjoy US racing in the early hours from Charles Town, Remington Park and Los Alamitos too.

There are nine meetings taking place across Australia including cards from Flemington (02:45), Ascot (05:02) and Gold Coast (02:54).

In Japan, Saturday’s racing comes from Tokyo (02:05), Kyoto Sanga (01:55), Niigata (01:50) and Saga (06:10).

Darts

The PDC Home Tour continues on Saturday with six more matches starting with Gary Anderson v Dirk van Duijvenbode at 19:30.

Anderson starts the night as the 4/9 favourite to beat ‘The Titan’ in the opening match with Dimitri van den Bergh and Kim Huybrechts also in action on night thirty.

There are another twenty-one matches in the Modus Icons of Darts, including Wessel Nijman (6/5) v David Evans (8/13) and Arron Monk (8/15)  v Paul Nicholson (7/5).

World number seven, Evans is the 13/8 favourite to win Day Six. Monk and Nijman are both in contention at 3/1 odds.

Esports

The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ESL One: Road to Rio provides three matches starting from with Hard Legion (6/5) v Winstrike (8/13).

There are two more Counter-Strike games in the RTP Arena Cup with Movistar Riders 1/10 to beat S2V (9/1). The other match is Giants Gaming v x6tence. The hosts begin as 2/7 favourites.

DOTA matches continue on Saturday with Vikin.gg v OG. Seed in the Cyber Cup Europe with both teams 5/6 to win.

There are a couple games in the DPL-CDA Professional League too with Invictus Gaming (5/4) v Vici Gaming (4/7) and Royal Never Give Up (4/11) v Sparking Arrow Gaming (2/1).
