RB Leipzig v Tottenham Betting Tips: Can Spurs spring a surprise?

Manchester United odds

Tottenham Hotspur’sseason could take another sour turn tonight, unless Jose Mourinho’s men canlaunch a mighty comeback away at RB Leipzig.

The German side dominated the first leg in London but couldonly win 1-0, with Spurs fortunate to not be 3-0 or 4-0 down.

But at 1-0 it’s still all to play for, especially if Tottenham can grab an early away goal. At 9/2 to go through, the Premier League side aren’t out of the tie, and after their sensational comeback against Ajax last season, the Spurs faithful will believe anything is possible…

Match Odds

It won’t be easy for Mourinho’s men, however. Leipzig are 4/9 favourites to win this one in 90 minutes and 1/8 to progress tonight by any means. Julian Nagelsmann’s side are unbeaten at home since October, a run of 11 games.

Spurs are 9/2 in thematch betting, but that does require them to end a five-game winless run inall competitions.

On a more positive note, Spurs have scored in each of their last 14 Champions League away games, including in trips to Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich. There’s 12/5 about Tottenham grabbing over 1.5 goals tonight.

Talking Tactics

Mourinho’s hands remain somewhat tied tonight, with HarryKane and Son Heung-Min still absent up front. Dele Alli is likely to lead theline in a false-nine.

Spurs have gaps further back too, with Moussa Sissoko andSteven Bergwijn out. Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela are expected to support Allifrom deep, with Harry Winks and Giovani Lo Celso tasked with controlling thegame in the middle.

Leipzig’s 3-4-2-1 worked wonders in the first leg, andNagelsmann is unlikely to switch things on home turf.

That means Werner and Patrick Schick causing mischief upfront, with Christopher Nkunku pulling the strings in behind.

Goalscorer odds

Werner is enjoying another net-busting season with 27 goals this term, and the 24-year-old is 13/5 favourite to score the opening goal of the game, as he did in the first leg.

There’s 4/1 aboutSchick netting the opener, with Alliavailable at 8s for Spurs.

In the anytime market,Werner is the only player odds-on at 5/6. Alli is 3/1 for the visitors, with Toby Alderweireld and JanVertonghen set-piece threats to net anytime at 16/1 and 22/1 respectively.
