The 19th May 2012 is etched into the minds of every Chelsea fan – for it is the date when the Blues finally conquered Europe.
It came nine years after Roman Abramovich bought the club, and though domestic success arrived instantly, glory on the continent had to wait. No matter how hard Chelsea tried, they come unstuck, usually to Liverpool or Barcelona.
But in 2012 it all came good. Despite sacking Andre Villas-Boas halfway through the campaign, Roberto Di Matteo came in to lead the West London side to that famous night in Munich.
