QPR ready to hand Ravel Morrison another chance in England with loan move

Published:

QPR look set to bring the mercurial Ravel Morrison back to England, after the west Londoners agreed a loan deal with Lazio.

Morrison has been with the Roman club since 2015, but has made just eight appearences for the Serie A side – and none this season.

The former Manchester United youth star enjoyed a loan spell at Loftus Road in the 2013-14 season, scoring six times in just 15 games.

And it’s hoped that the man-management of current R’s boss Ian Holloway could be the key to unlocking Morrison’s undoubted talent.

It’s also believed the agreement has an option for QPR to sign the 23-year-old permanently this summer.

The midfielder left England 18 months ago, after his contract with West Ham expired and no offers came forward.

It remains to be seen whether Morrison will be available for Rangers’ next game, but they could sorely use his ability as they head up to title favourites Newcastle.

We make Holloway’s men 8/1 to win on Tyneside, but those odds may well tumble if Morrison gets approval to play.

The Hoops sit 17th in the Championship table, some eight points above the relegation zone.
