Who are the favourites to win the Premier League?

We’re about to do it all again as the new Premier League season gets underway this weekend.
Liverpool romped to the title in sensational fashion last season, but how will things play out this time around?
Will Jurgen Klopp’s men retain their title? Can Pep Guardiola wrestle glory away from Anfield? Will Chelsea’s new wonderkids do the business? We’ll find out the answers over the next nine months.

Manchester City – 8/11
Despite finishing some 18 points behind the Merseysiders last season, City are still favourites to win back the Premier League title this term.
As evidenced in their spectacular 4-0 thrashing of Liverpool back in July, few doubt that Pep Guardiola’s men are the best in the division when truly in their groove.
But many will say City need to find Liverpool-esque consistency this term, plus make improvements in defence.
Guardiola has moved to bring in centre-half Nathan Ake for defensive stability, plus exciting winger Ferran Torres from Valencia.
David Silva has moved on, but with Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Sergio Aguero, Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden in their ranks, City still have an attacking line-up arguably beyond comparison in the Premier League.
Liverpool – 2/1
They may have stuttered towards the end, but Liverpool’s victorious campaign has still quickly become the stuff of legend.
Rest assured Jurgen Klopp is unlikely to allow his side to rest on their laurels, as the German looks to make Anfield a Premier League powerhouse.
With such a fine-tuned squad at his disposal, Klopp has only made one signing this summer, that of Konstantinos Tsimikas.
The mighty trio of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino should pile in another hatful of goals, with Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold racking up the assists.
Chelsea – 10/1
While Liverpool and Manchester City are largely unchanged as the new campaign begins, the same cannot be said for Chelsea.
Now with their transfer ban lifted, the Blues have splashed the cash, bringing in Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, Timo Werner from RB Leipzig and Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen.
The trio have given Frank Lampard some superb talents to choose from up front this season, while Thiago Silva’s free arrival from Paris Saint-Germain could provide key leadership in a defence which struggled too often last term.
Chelsea may well be one of the most exciting teams to watch this season, but can the new arrivals adapt to the Premier League well enough to launch a title challenge?
Manchester United – 14/1
After ending last season with a 14-game unbeaten run, Manchester United appeared to have turned a corner.
The Red Devils must now prove themselves over a full campaign, and the arrival of Donny van de Beek appears a smart one at this stage as they look to erase last season’s 33-point deficit to Liverpool.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will need to find an alternative to counter-attacking play if United are to properly challenge at the top. Too often last season they struggled when opponents sat back.
Van de Beek’s arrival should allow Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba more freedom however, to supply the goal-hunting trio of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood.
At the other end, Dean Henderson’s return from his loan at Sheffield United puts timely pressure on an under-fire David de Gea between the sticks, but like Chelsea, time will tell if the Old Trafford side can put together a title tilt.
