Stoke invading north London for three new faces

Stoke look set to be one of the busiest clubs on the final day of the transfer window and have been heavily linked with three players from north London.

Speculation suggests that it will not be long before Wilson Palacios moves north from Tottenham, with Stoke said to have already agreed both a transfer fee and personal terms.

However, Tottenham want to see what they can do with the transfer sum before finalising terms and are currently delaying any deal from being completed.

Scott Parker has handed in a transfer request at West Ham and it is surely only a matter of time before he heads to White Hart Lane, which would in turn allow Palacios to move to Stoke.

The Honduran midfielder could also be joined at Stoke by Tottenham teammate Peter Crouch, who has been targeted by the Potters for virtually the whole summer.

According to Harry Redknapp, Crouch will not be forced out but if he wants to leave to enjoy more first-team opportunities, the club will not stand in his way.

Stoke are desperate to strengthen in the striking department before the end of the transfer window and have lined up Arsenal’s Nicklas Bendtner, should they fail to entice Crouch to a move to the Britannia Stadium.

Bendtner is keen to leave Arsenal after being left out of the club’s pre-season tour of Asia and with South Korean Park Cha-young heading to the Emirates, he is set to fall further down the pecking order.

It is believed that both the Denmark international and his father are currently in Stoke having negotiations about a possible move.

If both these deals fall through, then Stoke may opt to sign Birmingham’s Cameron Jerome, who would certainly welcome a return to the Premier League.
