There’s a juicy double header to kick-start this festive midweek of Premier League fixtures. Chelsea can go top of the table with a sizeable win over Wolves, while Man City can close the gap at the top with victory over West Brom.

Who blinks first? We delve into the odds, team news and more ahead of this Tuesday double header.

Wolves v Chelsea (18:00)

Christian Pulisic looks set to return to Chelsea’s match-day squad after he missed the loss at Everton through injury. The result meant Frank Lampard’s men haven’t beaten a team in the top 10 all season.

But the Blues are 7/10 to win and compound Wolves to three successive Premier League losses for the first time since November 2018.

The home side will have to find a way of winning without the injured Raul Jimenez. Nuno Espirito-Santo will hope Fabio Silva breaks his goal duct, a victory at 21/5 will take them within two points of their opponents.

In the goalscoring market, Timo Werner to score anytime and to have an assist is 10/1. But he’ll face a challenge from Olivier Giroud, 13/8 anytime, and Tammy Abraham (7/4) for the number nine berth.

Wolves’ goals are coming from wingers Pedro Neto and Daniel Podence – with the former 8/1 to open the scoring. Both Teams to Score is 19/20.

Man City v West Brom (20:00)

After a goalless Manchester derby, City will hope Sergio Aguero recovers from illness to fire his side into the top four tonight.

West Brom have lost five of their last six away league fixtures and the odds reflect the disparity with City 1/9 on to win, while The Baggies are a long 25/1 to get all three points.

Despite Pep Guardiola’s side having a game in hand on their title rivals, anything less than a win will leave them with a mountain to climb already.

The home side are 4/6 to Win to Nil and with goal difference a factor come the end of the season, are 9/1 to be 3-0 up at half time.

As for Albion, avoiding defeat would feel massive after six defeats on the spin. The draw is also 9/1, with forward Callum Robinson 9/2 to score anytime.

Aguero is 8/15 anytime, with Gabriel Jesus 7/10 and Raheem Sterling 5/6 to hit the net.
