Arsene Wenger’s time as Arsenal manager should be up, according to Ladbrokes News readers.
The Gunners boss is under increased pressure following his side’s poor showings against Anderlecht in the Champions League and Swansea in the Premier League.
Wenger’s men let slip a three-goal lead to draw 3-3 against the Belgians just over a week ago and crumbled in Wales, after going 1-0 up, to a 2-1 defeat against the Swans.
And following the north London club’s second worse start to a Premier League campaign, Ladbrokes News asked the question should the Arsenal manager stay or is his time in the Emirates Stadium dugout up?
Our readers answered and 68 per cent of you said Wenger, who has spent 18 years with club, should make way for a new man at the helm, while just 32 per cent think the club’s most successful manager should stay on.
Whilst our readers think it’s the end of the road for the Frenchman, Ladbrokes are not so sure Wenger is for the managerial scrap heap just yet with the former Monaco man 50/1 to be the next Premier League manager to leave.
If Wenger stays at the helm – as is expected – he has the perfect opportunity to get Arsenal fans back on side with the visit of Manchester United to the Emirates straight after the international break.
The Gunners are 5/4 for a much needed victory against a United side, who head to north London on the back of one of their worst starts to a league season.
Nothing but a victory will do if Wenger is to lift the mounting pressure and keep his side in with a chance of finishing in the top two at 11/2, or even win the title, something available at 40/1 with Ladbrokes.
