Jack Wilshere faces a potentially difficult summer ahead with no guarantee of first-team football at Arsenal next season. But our odds suggest the midfielder is most likely to end up at Manchester City.
Currently spending the season on-loan at Bournemouth, it’s been claimed for the last few weeks that the 25-year-old hasn’t quite done enough to earn a permanent deal on the south coast.
But with 24 Premier League appearances, Wilshere has proven his fitness, which has blighted his career thus far.
His Arsenal future remains far from certain however, and our traders have been busy calculating the Englishman’s most likely next move.
It’s the Citizens who lead the way at 3/1, where it’s envisaged Wilshere could slot into Pep Guardiola’s side as he blends his tika-taka football in the coming seasons.
Newcastle United are in the mix at 6/1, but that depends on Rafa Benitez’s Magpies securing promotion from the Championship.
Should the Toon Army return to the top-tier however, signing a player of Wilshere’s calibre would be a sizeable statement of intent.
Staying at Bournemouth has been handed a 7/1 price.
A move to Stoke is 10/1, as is a switch to Italian giants Roma, who were reportedly keen on signing Wilshere a few weeks ago.
After lending a helping hand in the crucial 3-2 win over West Ham at the weekend, Wilshere will be hoping to feature again when the Cherries host Swansea on Saturday.
In a fixture which must still be regarded as a six-pointer, we make Bournemouth 5/4 for another massive three points.
