Harry Kane is just even-money to join Real Madrid, but now it seems Tottenham Hotspur could land a trio of Galacticos in return.
Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim the La Liga kingpins will offer former Spurs heroes Gareth Bale and Luka Modric, plus hotshot striker Karim Benzema, in return for Kane.
England international Kane has become one of the most sought-after strikers in the game, following a blistering couple of months.
The 24-year-old has scored 11 times from nine games for Spurs this term, while he’s added another four with England.
Valued at £54m by tranfermarkt.co.uk, and under contract with the Whites until 2022, Spurs are under no obligation to sell anytime soon.
But could the appeal of Bale, Modric and Benzema be enough to test their resolve?
Mauricio Pochettino has been hindered by a lack of strength in depth in North London. So the arrival of the aforementioned trio could be a sizeable one for their domestic and European challenges.
Modric and Bale were – and remain – fan favourites at White Hart Lane, while Benzema is one of the most clinical strikers on the continent.
It’s certainly arguable that even if Kane went to Madrid, the three men heading to London could improve Spurs’ squad as a whole.
For now Tottenham and Kane will be focusing on this Saturday’s clash with Bournemouth at Wembley.
Sitting five points behind Manchester City and Manchester United, Spurs can’t afford to slip up, and they’re 1/5 favourites to finally claim their first Premier League win under the famous arch.
What do you think? Should Pochettino and Daniel Levy consider such an option? Would it be a good move or is Kane simply too good to lose?
