Man United v Chelsea v Leicester: Who will clinch top four place?

Man U v Leicester

The race for Champions League qualification has gone down to the final day in what is the longest Premier League season ever.

Liverpool confirmed their spot at Europe’s top table years ago – well it feels like that, with Manchester City joining them too after their two-year European ban was overturned.

That leaves three teams trying to fill two spots. It could be one of the tensest Premier League final days of all time. Manchester United, Chelsea and Leicester City are all separated by just a single point.

It may come down to a moment of madness or a piece of magic and we’ve looked ahead at how it could all unfold.

Manchester United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have been in storming form, winning seven and drawing three of their ten league games since the restart.

It’s put United in third place with destiny in their own hands. Their run has got them at a short 1/5 with our traders to secure a top four place.

United’s form could have been even better. They would have already secured a top-four finish, if it wasn’t for disappointing draws against Southampton and West Ham.

Fancy having your say? United are 5/4 for victory, while 12/5 gets them the point they need to seal Champions League qualification.

Chelsea

Frank Lampard

The Blues could have secured their top four status with a point at Liverpool in midweek.

And with Kai Havertz reportedly set to join new signings Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner at Stamford Bridge next season, Champions League football is pivotal.

Despite being leapfrogged by Man United, Chelsea still only need a point and are 1/10 to seal their place in the top four.

Frank Lampard’s side host Wolves who are still challenging for a Europa League place themselves. Chelsea are 20/23 to win the game, but the visitors are 3/1 to snatch victory and end their season on a high.

Leicester City

The gallivanting Foxes were riding high before the season came to a pause, After 24 games they were 14 points clear of a stalling Man United side.

But fast forward three months and with only six wins since December they are in a real scrap to reach the Champions League.

It’s still in their hands though – beat United and it’s theirs. Draw and they’ll have to hope Wolves beat Chelsea.

We’ve got them chalked up at 8/5 to do it. But at one stage in late February the Foxes were 1/14 for a top-four finish.

Jamie Vardy will have to be on top form come Sunday, with the Leicester man at 13/10 to score anytime.

So there we have it, with the relegation battle still all to play for too, it’s sure to be one helluva final day.
