Wolves recorded their first victory over Liverpool for 27 years last season – but things have changed drastically since that Roy Hodgson-led side succumbed to Stephen Ward’s solitary goal last December.
Kenny Dalglish has come in and Liverpool’s expensively assembled squad are now battling away at the right end of the table.
However, things haven’t been quite as good in recent weeks with Liverpool losing consecutive league games against Stoke and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Reds should still have too much for the visitors though…
The last time these sides met, Liverpool won 3-0 at Molineux thanks to a brace from Fernando Torres and a Raul Meireles strike.
Those players might now be turning out for Chelsea, but Liverpool should record another win having lost just one of their previous 12 Premier League home games.
Steven Gerrard could be in line to make an appearance after playing against Brighton in the week and having him run out at Anfield would be a huge boost to the Reds.
Liverpool are currently 2/5 to beat a team who have lost their previous two league games and won only three matches away from home last term.
Barring Liverpool’s 3-0 win the last time these teams played, their games have been pretty tight in recent years.
None of the five games prior to that has yielded more than two goals and, with neither Wolves or Liverpool finding the net in their last two league games, backing under 2.5 goals looks pretty tempting at 1/1.
Meanwhile, Gerrard can be backed at 6/4 to score his second career goals against Wolves on his Premier League comeback.
