Harry Kane 2/1 to break Alan Shearer’s Premier League goals record

Published:

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is now just 2/1 to become the Premier League’s all-time leading goalscorer.

The Spurs man has now equalled Michael Owen’s tally of 150, and the 27-year-old is just 2/1 to surpass Alan Shearer’s 260 before he retires.

There’s still several players in front of the England international, including Thierry Henry, Andy Cole and Wayne Rooney, but Kane’s eye for goal is as sharp as ever.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Harry Kane is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon and with a move away from England looking unlikely, the 2/1 on him breaking Shearer’s record looks like great value.”

Kane’s first ever Premier League goal came in Tottenham’s 5-1 win against Sunderland in April 2014. He has since gone on to claim two Premier League Golden Boot awards and already has seven goals in eight league appearances this season.

111 league goals to go. Can Kane write himself into the history books?
