Liverpool are on the cusp of winning their first ever Premier League title.

The Reds haven’t won the league since way back in 1990 – It was called Division One back then!

So, if as we expect, Jurgen Klopp’s side do confirm their dominance in the next week or so it gives us an opportunity to take a walk down memory lane and see what has happened since Liverpool last won the league.

It’s been a long 30 years!

Peter Schmeichel was often the scourge of Liverpool in the nineties and won the league with Man United in 1993 before scooping it five more times.

His son, Kasper, was just six at the time of his first title, but he went and won the Premier League with Leicester City 23 years later.

Jurgen Klopp began his professional football career

Liverpool’s gaffer started his 2.Bundesliga career in the 1990/91 season playing 11 seasons for Mainz.

He then went on to manage them, before guiding Borussia Dortmund to two Bundesliga titles in a seven-year reign and is now in charge at Anfield.
